Last weekend, we drove up north to Flagstaff to do the Inner Basin Trail hike. We were really looking forward to the trip because we had seen amazing pictures and the weather was going to be so nice. However, things didn’t really go as planned and we ended up having quite the adventure!
First, we were going to bring Fenway with us since he loves hiking, but he hurt his foot the night before due to a bunny chasing-related injury lol. Then, the drive up to the trail was BRUTAL! You have to drive up this very steep mountain on a narrow, bumpy road. Needless to say, we were both freaking out on the way up! Then, when we got there, all the leaves had already fallen from the trees due to a couple really windy days in Flagstaff. But, we were determined to make the best of it and we did end up having a lot of fun! It was still a pretty hike with all the Fall leaves on the ground and the big trees surrounding us. However, I would really only recommend this hike if you have a car that is good for off roading, and be sure to research beforehand to make sure the leaves are still on the trees.
Hope that story gave you all a good laugh! Have a great weekend!
