As promised, I am doing a little recap of Josh and I’s trip to San Francisco and Half Moon Bay last weekend. I’m getting nostalgic just thinking back on all the great memories we made there!
For the first part of the trip, we stayed in San Francisco at the Park Central Hotel off Market Street. Our hotel was in the perfect location and so close to all my favorite spots in the city. On our first day, we walked over to the Ferry Building for lunch at Hog Island Oyster Co. I am not a seafood person, but Josh loves oysters and they had a yummy grilled cheese for me.
After lunch, we walked through the Ferry Building and checked out all the different vendors. And, I couldn’t help but stop and snap a photo of all these cute little pumpkins.
Next stop was the Golden Gate Bridge to get a few pictures. The last time we visited San Francisco, it was so rainy and we couldn’t even see the bridge. So, we made it our mission to get a good picture this time!
On Friday night, we went to dinner with one of my good friends from college and her boyfriend at a place called Hops and Hominy. If you’re looking for some good southern comfort food, this is the place! Then we hopped around to a few different bars in the city– they are so different from bars in Arizona!
On Saturday, we drove down to Half Moon Bay and stayed at the Ritz Carlton. Josh ended up renting us a convertible Mustang, which made driving down the coast that much more fun. When we got to the Ritz, I was blown away by how gorgeous it was. The hotel sits on a cliff overlooking the ocean. And trust me, the pictures I took don’t even do it justice. It was one of the most gorgeous places I’ve ever been!
The hotel was even decorated for Halloween and the annual Pumpkin Festival that happened to be going on that weekend. We only spent a little time at the Pumpkin Festival because it was pretty crowded – they said over 20,000 people were there!
Most of our time at the Ritz was just spent relaxing, walking around and taking in the amazing views. This picture was taken on my iPhone at sunset outside the hotel. It was even prettier in person!
We also ordered one of these adorable s’mores kits to our room since we had a fire pit on our balcony. (The hotel definitely won me over with that one.)
I’m already wishing we could go back and do our trip all over again. San Francisco is one of my favorite cities and I love how close it is to so many cool places, like Half Moon Bay. I hope you enjoyed reading about our trip and plan a trip of your own there sometime!
