Last weekend, we stayed at the Del Coronado and had so much fun that we are already planning our next trip back! I have stayed in Coronado several times in the past, but never had a chance to stay at the Del. Now I can’t imagine staying anywhere else! The hotel itself is so beautiful and full of history. We even made our way to the infamous “haunted room” at the Del, which ended up being down the hall from our room (yikes!) If you don’t know what I am talking about, you can read more about the story here.
While I have always wanted to stay at the Del, the thing that really sold us was the hotel’s dog policy. We wanted to bring Fenway with us for his first trip to the beach. Coronado is a very dog friendly town and the Del was so accommodating to make sure he had everything he could ever want or need. Upon arrival, Fenway had treats, doggie bags, bowls, a bed and more waiting for him. He was treated like a king! The hotel even offers “Yappy Hour” every Sunday on their Sun Deck where your dog can enjoy gourmet treats and food off their dog menu. How cute is that?!
We could have easily spent our whole weekend at the hotel because not only is it gorgeous, but it is footsteps from the beach and there are plenty of restaurants and shops to explore. Oh, and you can’t forget Moo Time – the best ice cream EVER! On Saturday night, we ate at ENO Pizzeria and Wine bar and had the best wood-fired pizza! We sat outside by the fire and we were even treated to an incredible fireworks show that was happening on the beach.
Below is a look I wore on our first day in Coronado and to dinner later that night. This dress was a steal from the Shop Bop Friends & Family sale!
We of course spent some time at the dog beach (which was only about a mile down the beach from the Del) because this was Fenway’s first time at the beach! I’ll let you be the judge of how much fun he was having by the pictures below. 🙂
Clearly Josh was equally as excited as Fenway to be at the beach! lol.
If you have any questions about the Del or are looking for suggestions, feel free to email me. Hopefully we will be going back again sometime soon. 🙂
